slept on the ground and comfortable!

Due to very cold weather and a poorly performing insulated air pad I decided to go to ground a few weekends ago and was surprised at how comforable I was. It has been a while since I slept on the ground like that and I was able to find a small flat site with lots of leaf cover and no rocks/roots. The only problem was a bit of dampness that formed over my sleeping bag. Dampness has never an issue in the hammock.

Anytime I can actually sleep on my back the ground isn't so bad. The problem is that I'm a side sleeper, which causes me awful shoulder and occasionally hip pain on the ground.

You should be ashamed of yourself. I hope you have the common decency to beg forgiveness of the High Hammock Council.

I'm sorry to hear that your suspension system failed leaving you to sleep on the ground!
