Is a fronkey too close to your face, like mosquito noises or it actually touching your face and getting bit? Can it be tied out or another bugsock with tie outs? or is an integrated net better for this?

The Fronkey style is a little bit closer to your face than an integrated bug net, but I've never had a problem with bugs biting me through it or it laying on my face. As long as your hammock has a ridge line you'll be fine. Might take a little getting used to if you're used to integrated nets. It does not have tie outs but you could sew some on.
Sounds like a good DIY project will figure this one out. I've got a hammock with integrated bug netting.. Hennessey in fact. The ridgeline keeps it out of my face. My new daily driver is without bug netting, although I did just purchase a net similar to the fronkey.. Haven't really tried it yet but I'm confident that I can solve that problem with a little necessity created ingenuity.
No matter where you go...There you are..
I've been using a Fronkey bugnet for several years - never came near my face or any other body part.

The Fronkey is meant to be used with a hammock ridgeline - you can order a Fronkey for a 10 ft. or 11 ft. hammock. As long as you have a hammock ridgeline, and you order the right size, it shouldn't be in your face.

I've only been happy with it in 11' hammocks. In 10' hammock it was too close to my face, rather the side of my head. I have been bitten through the netting and that's why I will jam a pillow between my head and the edge of the hammock to ensure enough separation.
