    DIY Costco Top Quilt

I have been looking for step-by-step instructions on how to make my own top quilt using the Costco throw and can't seem to find it. I would like to do one with snaps and draw cord. If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. Hope I posted this in the right location. Thanks everyone.

I used these instruction for mine. It doesn't cover snaps or draw cord, but they're easy enough to add.

    everyone is different

lots say they feel the cold at 40f

I've been comfortable in mine below 0f

I'd suggest that if you're thinking of these for scouts, I'd err on the side of caution and stay above freezing temps for sure

I have Costco Down Throw UQ (no mods) and TQ (sewn footbox) and I'm good to 42 - 40°F with little or no breeze. If I double them up (2 TQ and 2 UQ) it starts to get chilly around 35°F or so. Almost any breeze seems to come through the stitching on mine. I'm considering picking out the crosswise stitching and see if I can get a little more loft.

It might be easier to tell some of the y9unger scouts to use pads and bags. my older ones may do fine with quilts tough.
