I'm guessing you didn't read the whole thread

I was trying to get the image to load based on the directions Gargoyle posted, but I can't seem to get anything but the clickable thumbnail. Just trying to find an easier way, if there is one.

Hogn8r. yes like that. Then if folks don't want to see giant photos they can just read the text and move on. Clicking on it gives you the big picture, if interested. Big pictures are nice (pg if your listening we need more Idaho photos ). But there not always neccessary.

Upload to the gallery, and paste the BB Image code from that image's gallery entry in your post. It will give you a larger image in the post that's clickable for it's full size counterpart.

Okay, I was under the impression that MedecineMan was trying to post a full sized (640 x 480) image in the text of the post, not just thumbnails.

personally, I would rather see the 640 x 480 images in the post text than click on a bunch of thumbnails, which is why I load them the way I do. But even then, my images that are loaded to any forums are never over 640 x 480 (except the photog forums where hi rez is required); but that's just me.

LYOI indeed! But it never hurts to look for an easier way either!

you are right I didn't read it all. I skimmed through it.

Like you I had rather see a full picture instead of the thumbnail pics in a post. To much of a hassle to pic on everyone then close out the new page

I don't know why but I felt the need to read through this tread and then I found out why

Not my photo, but a very cool picture of the Id mountains These guys are based about 10 miles from my house so we get air shows every week or so.

Those mountains are the other side of the valley from where we will have the ID hang next fall The caption the AF photographer had said it is the Sawtooths but to be correct that is actually the White Cloud/Bolder Mountains range. Just as cool as the Sawtooths but less lakes and more vertical scree mountains rather than the sheer granite of the Sawtooths.

When you put in that link and get the thumbnail size, just manually remove "_thumb" from the link and it will put in the full size pic.

Edit: Actually not the full size pic, but the reduced size gallery pic(640 X 480 I think).
