70D Nylon vs 210T - Confused

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm new to this and trying to make my first hammock. It will be "eno" style and I'm having mixed signals from the company I'm trying to get my material from. It seems like 210T nylon is the most commonly used right now but they are trying to convince me that 70D nylon is better.

Can someone explain to me the difference between these two fabrics? I read the sticky but I'm still confused =/

Hi there. 210T and 70D are the same thing. You're referring to thread count and they're talking denier, but you're both likely talking about the same general fabric weight aka ~1.9 osy. Ask for a sample of their 70D and see if it's what you want for your hammock.
