    Needle holes - hammock integrity?

I searched the forum and found posts about needle holes and down coming out and needles holes and sealing for waterproofness in tarps but was wondering about hammocks. I have seen some posts where some hammock failures were attributed to holes.

Anyway, I made a new bridge and don't have any stitches (this time) that wandered below the webbing, but I did stitch it close to the bottom and can see some needles holes, not many but still there.

Wondering how concerned I should be? I think they're fine but if I need to be more proactive, I would like to before issue. It is ripstop nylon but I guess that doesn't mean it's impervious.

    I suppose my options are:
    - Keep and eye on them and see if they worsen.
    - Make another fold in the webbing and restitch - smaller needle and longer stitch length.
    - Not sure if sealer would actually strengthen.

    Thanks for any help.

A little fact that most people don't think about... Woven fabric has a space.... granted a small space, but a space nonetheless between every thread of the fabric. That's right... there is a hole at every single thread intersection in a woven fabric. The fabric is full of millions upon billions of HOLES!!!!!

    Relax.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

"Bless you child, when you set out to thread a needle don't hold the thread still and fetch the needle up to it; hold the needle still and poke the thread at it; that's the way a woman most always does, but a man always does t'other way."

I get that and thanks for the reassurance.

I'm not really worked up about it, just wanted to make sure if there was something I should do that I did it.

Relaxing is what the hammock is for so I certainly like that advice.
