Might seem a bit redundant or even silly considering how many hangers are also ultralight backpackers, but I have a CanteenShop Cup/stove combo that nests with my Nalgene canteen. It's modeled after the GI canteen kit, but it's slightly bigger and has laser-etched measurements in the cup. It's not quite as heavy as government issue, and the stove stand gives me the perfect height for an Esbit tablet or alcohol burner. Last time I went camping and couldn't sleep because of back pain, I sat in front of the fire all night and boiled water in the fire for hot chocolate. What turned a bad experience into a great one was the fact that the folding pot handle extended over the metal fire ring and was pleasantly warm to the touch when I reached for my boiling water. With this canteen kit, there are no finicky butterfly handles that inevitably slip when you have scalding hot liquids in your hand, and it's infinitely more stable in the coals than the GI version. Would I go for something different sometime in the future? Possibly, but it'd have to be both titanium and a complete kit.

I like to bring my swiss army knife (camper). The one with the wood saw and corkscrew. The saw for cutting downed wood. The the corkscrew to appease the wife and her wine habit.

given the current weather here in the mid atlantic, a generator, plenty of gas and a huge AC stickin' out the side of a tarp tent.

Almost always have my InReach with me, also. Never needed the SOS function, but nice to have. The real utility is keeping the wife happy when I'm out of cell coverage!

I'm with you! Just use a smaller generator so you can be light weight!

I don't want to go to ground. What does everyone bring in terms of emergency gear repair or extra bling, lines, etc for the just in case scenario?

Nothing, as long as the hammock holds and tarp holds nothing else is needed. If either of these go bad it's time to head to the house.
