    Making my own bug net

I recently decided to create my own bug net. I've been looking at material from ripstopbytheroll.com but I'm not sure what else I will need for this project or where I should look? Any suggestions would be very helpful!

I used these two videos to make mine. I actually put a zipper on the bottom (3ft or so). It was kind of a pain to do but I think being able to zip the netting closed is important. I'm not trusting the tension on the hammock pushing down to seal the hole in the bottom. Especially when you get out to go to the bathroom or just before you get in for the night the hammock will not hang low enough to seal it. All that to say I think it's worth the trouble to just put a zipper on the bottom. I used the sheer curtains (just like the ones in the video) from Walmart and made my bug net for a little over 10$.

The cool part aboutFronkey's design is that you can sinch up the bottom with the shock cord. I have closed it all the way up before leaving camp to keep the bugs out.
Look up before you hook up!!

I have used Fronkey's style for a couple of years now with just shock cord on the bottom. I live in the U.P. of Michigan. It is a very buggy place during the summer. I have never had a single complaint. It is a lot bigger than the HUG or an integrated net, but I love the convenience.

Thanks for the help! I'll probably do fronkey style then with shock cord, and Forget the zipper all together.
