    Another costco uq

Just wanted to show off my costco uq. I made this to be my spare for friends and also my summer quilt. I haven't put the secondary suspension on yet because I don't know if I really need it.

I should have some more projects on the way.

Very nice. Did you recently get the quilt? I went to Costco today, which is not close so I couldn't go earlier, to try to buy one but apparently they are done selling them for the season!

I was excited when I first saw the low price of these. But not available. The quilting is going the wrong way. So how about two of then turned the long way for a full length UQ?
    Nice work by the way!

The quilting is squared. I seem ripped it to make it that way. There are a lot of post on whether or not it should be long ways or side to side. I tried this to see how it works. I think it will get me in the 40s but i won't know till i test it

The stitch spacing is fairly loose, so once you get enough thread worked out of the locking stitch to grab it you can pull a lot of it.

I found the best method for me was to snip one of the threads, lift it from under a few stitches, then pull it until the quilt bunches up and you can't pull any more thread without breaking it. If I then snipped the same thread a few feet down the quilt I could take the bunched up portion and work it in small pieces down to my second cut, ripping out feet of stitching at a time. You then repeat with the thread on the far side of your recently removed cut. Pretty mindless work while watching something.

This was how I made my UQ as well. What's the theory behind the direction of the baffles?
