Tarp Question

I bought a Homedepot tarp for $10 to play with, while I was waiting for my wonderfully light weight Monsterfly tarp. Got 2 winter outings covered with it (1 night + 3 nights). Now, as I got my perfect new tarp, the heavy utility tarp will still be used on family campouts above my tent or wherever (a good camper will always find good use for a cheap tarp).

For any who routinely incorporate those "Heavy" tarps : )
I have found utilizing a gizmo called "Tarp Buddy" to take the functionality of those tarps to a whole new level. I think they serve their purpose during vehicle based camping.

With these tarps made for camping, what brands do you recommend? What shapes of the tarp do you find to work best?

Lots of people, myself included, prefer hex shaped tarps. Some good options would be the warbonnet edge, wilderness outfitters tadpole, or the simply lighy designs trail haven. These tarps are all right around $100 and they're all very high quality.
