Can I ask, if you have a superfly, why you would want a Tadpole too? Is it weight, ease of pitch? I have a WB edge, very similar to a Tadpole, and was considering a Superfly. Wondering if I got the SF if my Edge be collecting dust. Thanks.

There are a lot of very good tarp makers here on hammock forums I agree with Intimidator. Rather than settling quickly for a particular maker, do some research on fabric types and widths & lengths, cat cut or not, etc. etc. I did and wound up with a really nice tarp. So nice I may get another one.
No matter where you go...There you are..

I obviously don't know for sure but I would suspect the 6oz weight savings AND the fact that the tadpole packs down to almost nothing. Like softball size without compression

Depending on your price range, I'd say get the WB-Superfly, but if your looking for a cheap option (And I know I'm going to get jumped for saying this) an ENO pro rainfly is a good option, just swap out the tie outs with a continual ridgeline and some shock cord. The eno was my first tarp and I've never had an issue with it.

All this really depends on when you're hanging/camping. If you're a three season I'd say Eno, but otherwise I'd go with the superfly.

Do you camp/hike in the winter or stormy conditions? Considering your location, I'd try to steer you towards a Warbonnet Superfly or a Wilderness Logics Old Man Winter. Both tarps have doors attached and offer really good protection from the elements. No matter where you plan to go, these two tarps will be plenty good.

I'm highly considering a tadpole in the near future, but I live in the gulf south. It rarely gets cold down here
