    Back From the Dead

    What year is it?

I went on my own profile page to see when the last time I logged on was, but it's been too long to even tell. Three kids under 3 will do that to a man.

Anyhow, I've since moved out of the suburbs and back to the woods where I grew up, and with the move returned my old hammock bug. Last night was the first in years I've spent outside, and it was marvelous. There's something to be said about sleeping outside using all gear I made myself, and staying toasty warm (except the tip of my dang nose) in 30 degree temps.

It's good to be back. Won't be long before I unpack my sewing mach...erm, "thread injector", heh, and start buying down by the pound again.

Welcome back, I have not been very active on this forum for about a year or so...Still active just not here, I find it has changed quite a bit. Does not seem as much fun here anymore.

    P.S. The gear looks great.
    Take care,
    Bluefin

Hey Welcome Back! Nice setup you have there. What's in the red bag hanging from your spreader bars? Does it weigh much, because my understanding is the bars are under a lot of tension. I read of people breaking spreader bars when applying a little bit of pressure on them. Just something to think about.

The bag just has my sewn-through quilt in it. With temps in the mid-30's, I thought I might get hot and want to swap quilts in the middle of the night. Turns out the big quilt was just right with one leg out from time to time. Last I weighed that quilt, it was 16.5 oz, so it didn't cause an issue. Frankly, I didn't even consider that though. Thanks for the reminder. Maybe I'll stick a ridgeline in or something.
