Not sure I like that shoving the hammock in the pack idea in Part 5. Seems a little unorgainized. But seems to work for him.

I think I am better at hanging an HH then Tom. It's good to see that he isn't sitting back on his laurals and is still working at it. His inovations are why many of us are here today. Big solute to that grumpy non charismatic pioneer.

    Great Stuff!

The new toggle design should be much easier to use. I have to admit though, I recently had a new hanger call me for help in setting up the new undershield before I had seen the change. It was a long and rather non-productive call... Hah!

Having the new YouTubes to refer them to now is great.

I wondered when he would update the info, and I pack mine up like he is doing in the last video, it is faster and easier than taking it all apart and then putting it all back together. But I am using a compression stuff sack. I want access to the other items in the backpack.

Great job Tom. I have been using the SS all the time, but I might change the older setup now that I know how much length I need. Having all the strings in the older setup can be disorganized. I like the idea of just tying it to the suspension. But as we move to winter I think it may still need adjustment ability as I will be adding more insulation and will need to have more range of motion. The elastic shock cord will probably take up a lot of the difference, but I want tot be sure it has the right tension if I put my jacket under it.

Got my first one back in 01 I think ... the old original non assym. Still have a one of them. What a joy that was to take into Linville Gorge and not wake up with a root in my back!

Got a zipper mod on my Expedition but that bottom entry is near "skeeter" proof getting into the hammock! Classic camping hammock!

These new videos are much more helpful than the old ones.
I agree to both accounts. I would probably stick to the a prussic knot. even though there are bungies on the end of the SS I would still want to control the hang a little more.

The new videos make up for everything that the older videos lack. I had actually arranged to shoot a series of HH beginner videos but I don't think I'll waste the time now.

GOOD JOB TOM KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
