Coffee filter... I use them on my hot-shoe mounted camera flash. Makes a great diffuser, multi-use and virtually weightless

My daughter need a wearable metaphor (cliche? simile?) project for school, so I sewed the letter "U" onto a cheap t-shirt and then we safety pinned these eyeballs onto it. Technically didn't need the lights, but that was done for effect. "Eyes on you".

If you could find some Christmas lights like these

Should be able to remove one of the globes mount it on a small keychain light and attach to the RL. Those small globes would be nice because they are much smaller than a ping pong ball and probably wouldn't be crushed as easily.

I do like the string lights, and they are very tempting, but the idea was to use my headlamp as a lantern.

The ping pong ball is so amazingly perfect. So many years playing beerpong and i hadn't thought of this.

I actually sold my zebralight and am working on an upgrade. So i got a one dollar led light (batteries included) at the dollar store to test it out. The light im getting has more directional light, but this crappy dollar light has a hot spot too. All i did is put a little dent in the ball so it sits flat on the front of the light. If the light had a bezel, the ball could stay round.

I took a really creepy picture of my hippy voodoo skull to demonstrate how evenly the ball distributes the light. The light is pointed straight at the ceiling and the wall is evenly illuminated, well past 180 degrees.

Check out Aliexpress. Lots of options for $2-10. I just bought ones of a copper wire (12' long) and another that is a 6' strip, but you can change the colors and intensity.

How about a small white hdpe Nalgene bottle, you could cut a hole in the lid just large enough for the batt compartment end to go thru and the light would be inside the bottle, the hang from the RL.
    Good luck,
