Hello From the SC Backwoods

Hey All,

Thought I'd just take a second to introduce myself before I start posting. I've been lurking here for about a year, but I finally joined after I took the plunge and bought a hammock.
It is a Warbonnet Blackbird XLC, and though I've only slept 2 nights in it I've ditched my tent already.

I am currently prepping for a couple section hikes on the AT this summer so I'll probably be asking a bunch of questions as I make the transition from tent camping to hanging.
Thanks for all the great info y'all have already provided me with, and all that I'm sure is to come.

What part of those SC backwoods, or do you not want to say?

Where do you plan to hike on the AT? I've done from GA to CT and all of NH and a chunk of ME so far.
