Hard to say, but the net I cut off of my Expl was way less than 8.4 oz, more like 3 or less. That 8.4 is pretty close to what my Expl tarp weighs though, maybe close to 11 oz.
Edit: right, that 8.4 oz is the tarp. So, a little under 2 lb. Actually a little less than my BB 1.7 dbl and my BMBH. BUT , it is only rated for 200 lbs and up to 6 feet!
Also, seems a bit pricey. I'd get a BB or Traveler/net and tarp, or a BMBH and tarp. Or, if cost was an issue and I was willing to get non-American made, such as HH, then I'd get a Claytor.

Weights include the little tarps.
I hope I never have to see one, but my impression is that they are just another Hennessy with double layers and a side zipper. The great thing about the double layer is that it stops mosquito bites, and you can slide a windshield sunscreen inside for insulation.
Backpackgeartest.org just began a test series on this, if you're interested.
at this point i'd be afraid to use an HH unless i consulted the family attorney, just that i like to mod in one way or another and dread a summons....jaded I am.
Interesting
