    David from Hoosier country

    Hello! Just getting started w/ hammock gear....planning on a camping trip through the AT/Smokey Mountains this summer fall....."noob" status engaged...any suggestions/opinions regarding what type/style of gear would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the add!

    First off, Welcome, man. You will find loads of info here. You will get a lot of suggestions , most likely, and my suggestion is to check out the trip planning section and try to just stop by a group hang. We love showing off our gear and you'll get a chance to see the gear first hand. Good luck!

    Welcome to the forums from a fellow Hoosier! I'm up here in Huntington, just a half hour southwest of Fort Wayne. I'm fairly new to hammock camping and backpacking as well. If you haven't already checked out the info on the group get together at Salamonie (Blood Root Trail) in April, be sure to do so.
