Please help bling out my gear

So I upgraded my gear for the new season. New hammock, tarp and underquilt. I am looking to find the ideal set of Dutch bling to add to the setup. My main objective is to make my rig easily adapt to a wide variety of situations (tree distance, variety of ways to pitch the tarp for different weather, etc) and make setup as easy as possible. Convenience is key; I do not obsess over a few grams when pretty much all the choices are already lightweight.

I find the variety of flyz, stingerz, beez, wasps, fleaz, worms and buckles overwhelming am looking for advice on these. Also, should i consider a continuous ridgeline?

Here is the gear in question:

    • Warbonnet Blackbird XLC 1.7 Double Layer with Webbing
    • HG Cuben Fiber Tarp with doors
    • EE Revolt Underquilt

    Any advice is much appreciated.

This all depends on what you like do you like suspension wise for your hammock? When it comes to tarp backpacking adventures has a great video out about Dutch bling

I'm assuming CL's on your hammock. Spiders or cinch bugs, straps (about 8-10' or so) and whoopie slings (WS) with whoopie hooks will allow for a wide variety of setups. If spiders or cinch bug type of setup, you won't "need" a Dutch clip, just pull the strap through the loop. No need for multi-wraps around small trees either. If trees are too close for WS, just hook your CL's to the spiders etc, or even use a WS on only one end.

For the tarp, I'm using a CRL of zing-it with wasp and dutch hook, with zing-it soft shackle prusiks onto the tarp. Not caring for the prusik's though and seeking better alternatives. A lot of folks like to use individual cords on either end, hooking to the tarp with stingerz, fleaz or flies. If I ever decide to go that route, I'll use stingerz, mainly because I already have a pair. I'm using hook worms with zing-it (instead of shock cord) for the tie-outs. This allows me to disconnect from the tarp and keep stakes, cord and hook separately. With CF, you may not need/want shock cord either, but I have zero experience with it.

The issue with this subject is similar to religion, politics, and sports. It is open to the individuals experience and preference. (Read as I'm right and everyone else is wrong, lol) But in all seriousness it really does help to fiddle with a few different set ups to see what you like best.

I am a Dutch CRL user and am happiest with it. I am a recent convert to straps and cinch buckles, although I am still getting used to stowing it with all the strap attached.

I use tarp worms on my silnylon tarp and love them, but they aren't as useful if your tarp doesn't stretch. But they do give way when you trip over them ha.

I have some dutch buckles on 8 foot straps I'm thinking about trading if that helps you.
Look up before you hook up!!

Whoopie hooks suspension with Kevlar 2.2, 4 foot huggers, or spiders with whoopies and 8 foot tree straps is weight isn't an issue.
    Flyz on Lash it
Hook Worms with Lawson Reflective cord
Quilt hangers and ridgeline quilt hooks.
    Peace Dutch

Just buy 2 (or 6) of everything Dutch has to offer and you'll be prepared for anything!

(That's what many of us have ended up with anyway...)

Thanks Dutch. Order placed for all the stuff you listed.

Threw in a set of tarp fleaz so I can check that out as an alternative.

Plus a Halfwit hammock, because I wanted to play around with a lightweight alternative...

I have no self control. I am ashamed.
