SOLD: OES MacCat Ultra Silnylon Tarp

    SOLD

I'm moving up to a SpinnUL Ultra.

I don't know how many nights it's been used, quite a few, but it's still in great shape. It's not even dusty, might look new if you wiped off the water spots. It has a mod for a tentpole in the center, if that's of any interest to you...I never did get a pole for it. It just has plain black tieout reinforcements, not the gridstop pattern. Comes with a set of Jacks R Better Self-Tensioning lines, they are a little faded and not as taught as new, but aren't brittle and still work pretty well.

Weighs 18.9 oz in stuffsack with lines.

    $100 shipped to CONUS.

Also have listed a Speer Hammock that would go great under this tarp...buy them both.

I might be interested in the tarp but I'm having a hard time understanding exactly how the tent pole mod is set up. Can the mod be undone?

EDIT: You could take the pockets out easily with a seam ripper.

I can't remember if it's an easy removal or not, I can check later. There's not much to it, it's just two pole pockets on the backside of the center side tieouts, they are made out of the spectra gridstop. There is also a small velcro loop at the center of tarp's ridgeline. I actually use the loop to clip on my nightlight in the wintertime, works great. It's not unsightly, doesn't add much weight, and doesn't interfere with anything. I just had it added because I thought I might use it one day, but never did. If you decided to get some poles for it, it would be great, as it gives you more space underneath and helps keep the sides from bowing in during high winds.

It is sort of like 2Questions mod.

I know this will sound like a silly question since you're upgrading to a SpinnUL, but I have to ask anyway.

Would you be willing to trade up for a MacCat deluxe that's been pitched for 2 3 day trips?

Fulminated - if you don't get a trade, I might be interested in buying it.

Right now, the only thing I would trade on is a 2009 ULA Circuit pack.

C'mon people! Buy this so that I can stop looking at it. I don't need another tarp!

The spirit is willing but the wallet is weak.
