Have you used a HH bubble pad on the ground? Did it work?

New hammocker here. Wondering if my HH bubble pad would work ok as a ground sleeping pad if I am forced to go to ground....thinking about a scenario like being required to sleep in a Great Smoky Mts NP shelter instead of being able to hang. (Planning for a long AT section next May-June.) Have you used this bubble pad on the ground, and did it insulate well?

It will work, but condensation will get you. They don't breathe, but a layer of fabric between you and the pad will help some.

Okay, thank you. I think I will consider a lightweight sleeping pad as a backup just in case.
