    Rather proud of myself

    Hi all,

I am rather proud of myself. With the help of the video by PaCampingDad

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMqZ...ist=WL&index=1

I attached my first bling, a Dutch hook, to my Dyneema :-). For most this is probably a small thing to achieve. But for me it's a step further in my handywork :-). So happy :-D. Thanks Dutch for providing the equipment and thanks PaCampingDad for the EXCELLENT video!

I keep learning and will never know enough.

Just because it's a small thing it does not mean you should not be proud of it! Splicing is fun and now that you've started you'll be looking for other things to do. Also every time you use it you can take pride in knowing you made it yourself ( i know i do).

You are very welcome. I get a lot of enjoyment from making my own gear and like to pass it along. Dutch really gets it too, his reasonably priced (and fast) shipping means not feeling like you have to place a huge order (although sometimes it's hard not to) to be cost affective.

My first bling was whoopie hook suspension system. I loved it to death. Now I am using spiders oh those are great.
Bacon and Camping makes me happy.

Ha. Once I learned how to splice and work with Amsteel, I've been going nuts. Loops, slings, and ridgelines...thinking about a cat collar!

I made my dogs collar out of paracord. Cobra weave with a mini biner to finish it.
