Is ESD mat similar to reflectix?

I have a bunch of 2'x2' electro-static discharge mats that I got for working on big computers. They are basically bubble-wrap with a light metallic facing -- almost like mylar window films -- plus a tough outer plastic layer. (Not the pink ebb bubble wrap, though.) Do these sound functionally about the same as Reflectix, for purposes of making a small pad for my hammock? Or do I need to try it to find out? :7)

(I plan on using Tyvek tape to attach at least two of them together for a 3/4-length pad, with maybe also a third split in two to make it even wider.)

More so on one side than the other...so if I follow you, and looking at pictures of real Reflectix, then this stuff probably isn't the same in terms of its heat-reflecting properties.

Then again, I have it and it was free, so maybe I should just try and then report back here. :7)
