    Hi from Slovakia

Well, was reading here quite a lot recently. So let me say something, as it seems that I will be more present in the future

I love photography and nature, walking, enjoying the views, woods, fresh air. Always have been sleeping on the ground for several years without tent, using my ultra light set of bivy bag, pad, and sleeping bag. My photography gear pushes me to count almost every gram. My only experience with hammocks is during my several travels through southamerican contries, and I always enjoyed it. But never imagined to carry one for my walks, not only because of the weight, but the absence of trees in my mountains too. However, during my last trip to Colombia, I saw colombian soldiers and their jungle hammock equipment, and I loved it. But studying more and more around the internet, I found out there really is a light way to go. Now, dutch hammock and jareds tarp are on the way, to accommodate my ***, and my two small kids sleeping on the ground. And getting the best equipment is not only money, its a fun ! Until you have to buy for your wife and kids

Maybe I will not write as much here, but I am watching.

Marek, welcome. So nice to hear from you in Slovakia. I sometimes forget that HF has members all around the world.

It sounds like you are well traveled. Columbia sounds like a cool trip

I understand the purchasing of gear for the family. It gets a little pricey, but it's worth it to have them with you in the woods.

I bet you have some great photos, any you could post for us to see?

I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.
