    Luminoodle - interesting ridge lighting

Came across this Kickstarter. Luminoodle. I did a quick search on the forum and didn't see it mentioned. Looks like it would make a great ridgeline light. Can also be used to charge your phone (if you trek with one). Only the bigger rewards are available now but looks like it will be available soon.

Thoughts? I am wary of Kickstarters. I have backed2 or 3 now and it seems they always take forever to materialize.

    Cheers,

I've backed a lot of kick starters. I'm generally pretty happy with them, though they do rarely meet their estimated delivery dates.

I'd be wary of this one, and not back for more than I could afford to lose. They've completed a couple other campaigns, and while they do deliver it sounds like people aren't very happy with the final product.

One came in the Cairn Box either last month or the month before. I will dig it out of the gear bin and set it up sometime this next week. I will give you a quick run down.

Power Practical has done a few kickstarters for their products. If you are worried about the kickstarter you can order a first gen luminoodle off their website now.

I've done a lot of kick starters. I've been backing this one already - just the compete 5' kit. I like lights around camp!

You can get the 5' or 10' version on Amazon.com right now. The 5' is $20 and the 10' is $30.

Check out Aliexpress. I bought a 6' for $10 delivered. Here is a link

They also have the small lights on a thin wire for only a couple of bucks. Link

I ordered both and they both work great!

The 5' Luminoodle is great on the ridge line.
