Nice weekend in the swedish woods

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVpzV7h4x74

Me and a buddy went out a couple of weeks ago. Temps were around 20, buddy was on the ground with an Exped Downmat 9 Delux and generic down sleeping bag. I had the BMBH, the Exped Downmat 9 (not deluxe) and the modular sleeping system from Tennier Industries.

Got to try out the new Grilliput, worked just fine. We went out guns blazing, but in all the woods, not a creature was stirring, so we had to rely on the pork we brought along.

Stupid dog decided that 20 degrees was the perfect temp for taking a bath in the creek, so we had to pile sleeping bags on her to keep her warm. Buddy said she kept sliding closer and closer to him during the night, and she ended up spooning with him, hahaha.

All in all, a good weekend, nothing fancy though.

I think the dog has better gear than me. Who said a dogs life is bad

Looks like a good weekend trip - sorry you had to eat pork (but what fine looking slabs of pork those were!)

    Nice video!
I was wondering until the end what the shotguns were for and whether you caught your own grilled dinner. Yum.

Even the dog has his own quilt and exped mat!

Yeah, the downmat and sleeping bag are supposedly good for temps down to -40F, so I was warm and cozy all night. Plus, there was virtually no wind.

The downmat is a bit noisy though. It's amazing how quiet it can get in a forest.
