    Help with different karo step

Well trying to come up with some different designs for a karo step quilt.

    A is traditional karo step

B is a slight variation, the aim was to have a stager in the pattern so no straight open channels. But looks like some large open horizontal channels.

C was like a staggered brick step
No open channels but a lot of work and not sure if its too dense and therefore difficult to fill and move dow around.

D same amount of baffle as A but with the diagonals it reduces the open straight channels considerably.

Also thought about triangles, trapeziods and hexagons, any other ideas out there. ?

Having done A, C and D: A is easy, works well and easy to stuff. B, I did it sewn through but it was difficult to stuff but looked fantastic and really stable. C, surprisingly easy to do, looks great though be careful with bias stretch.
Success doesn't come to you, you go to it.

When you stuff the down, are you able to get the fill tube all the way to the bottom or do you use some other method to distribute?

It will be like karo step, just take your bag of down, take it into the quilt as far as you can go, empty the bag pull the bag out, then sew up the quilt, then just spend some time shaking the quilt around to distribute the down.

I will keep them as i dont want any open channels for down to migrate on its own.

Its will be a single design for top quilt on the ground or in a hammocks and it will also be a hammock underquilt.
