Guide lines for tarp & stake

I know this is a super noob question but what is a good length for Lines to tention the sides of a tarp? Second is zing it or lash it appropriate for this purpose?

I think most people go with about 6 feet of zing it or lash it.

I use 6' on all of my tarps, but always have hanks of more in a spare cordage bag. On line as slippery as zing-it/lash-it, a zeppelin bend has never failed to hold two pieces together for me, even in high winds.

I use Lawson reflective cord when hanging with my kids, zing-it or lash-it the rest of the time.

Extension in use for tieouts. 30+mph gusts that night.

Take a look at our tarps page. We list a bunch of guylines both premade options as well as raw ropes that are appropriate to use.

Well I went and checked out your gear at AHE, and as I was looking saw the adjustable prucic, and thought man I can work somethish!!! So as I went into my current craft bag had some lash it and zing it I just bought, then realized I could play with a bit if line I have from atwood. N in liking what I've come up with! Using a bit of line made a continuous Loops using the atwood line, connecting the ends w a double fisherman knot, then doing a prucic around The line then doing a larks head to my tarp attachment so you could adjust. From inside of the hammock....pictures to come
