    Tarp Ridgeline Tieouts

OK so I've been searching and researching idea to suspend my tarp. I want a continuous ridgeline for my tarp alone. I intend to use it under tarp. My concern is how to attach to the trees. I have reviewed Shug's videos (thanks Shug!) and spoke to a few manufactures and read up on various configurations. What I would like is for you all to post your ridgeline setups, by picture or doodle, etc. I am debating a few different ways but I am leaning toward prussic loops to attach the tarp to ridgeline. I just want to see visuals so I can better understand what's out there. I have used toggles and tie outs from each end(separately) which led me down this path.

If you mean that the CRL(continuous ridgeline) goes under the tarp, I do it like this.

Dutch Hook on the end of 25' Lash-it CRL, tree adjustment side I use Dutch Fleaz(most will use a Dutch Flyz or Wasp here). The tarp would lay on the CRL and attach to the line using a Zing-it prussic to S-biner to tarp tie out.

I couldn't find a good picture since the tarp ends are always covered by the tarp skins.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

+1 to what Floridahanger said except I use zing it soft shackles instead of biners. One less piece to lose!

+1 to Floridahanger as well with the addition that you can do the same thing if the tarp is hung below the CRL as well. I use Zing-It soft shackle prussic's on the CRL, connected to the tarp ridgeline tie out points.

@Floridahanger, I am totally lost with your explanation. Your dutch hook is attaching to another piece of material going around the tree? That uses a dutch fleaz to adjust the tension?

The end with the dutch hook is fixed, so just looped around the tree and hooked to itself, The Dutch Fleaz, wasp in my case, is at the opposite end and all the adjustment is done there... less walking back and forth this way. I keep the tarp on soft shackle prussic loops. Essentially the same as this premade ridgleline from Dutch.

    Yep, looks pretty close.

before that set up I used a small biner on the fixed and a figure 9 on the adjustable side.. works just the same. Also a solid video explanation by dutch on the product page there.

Edit: on second glance the tarp Flea is on a different cord in that pic. I have my adjustable section on the main line on either another prussic or use the wasp so the tail is just looped around and tensioned through the hook and then hitched.

I haven't gotten my tarp yet but I plan on using a wasp and a dutch hook with tato tarp connectors. Pretty easy for to make. I am using about 35 ft of zing it.

I've used something similar to what's been described but without any prussics or soft shackles. dejoha made a great diagram of it.
