    My first hang

I did my first hang lastnight and the temp was 27deg. I used a HH Safari GG 1/4 pad, windshield inulater for underpad. Top Quilt was a old down coleman bag with no rateing. Slept well and warm. Im hooked now and loveing it. I really enjoy reading all the info all of you have allready posted. Helps us new guys allot and saves us allot of mistakes. Thanks

    Congratulations, Gadget!

You definitely get extra points for a first hang in those temps! Glad it worked out for you!

Wow that GG pad must be really great. My blue Wal-Mart pad told me to "Suck it fool!!!" when I used only the pad in 23* weather in Red River Gorge. Congrats on your first successful (cold-weather) hang!
