11' DIY Hammock with Knotty Mods

I've looked and either I'm blind or the answer to my question is buried deep in previous threads. So if an answer already exists, could someone provide me the link?

So here's the question:
For an 11' hammock, from either end, where should the KM start and end? How long should they be? Is there a benefit to have KMs at each corner?

At the moment, I'm thinking starting the KM 2'8" from the end edge and then 2' in length.

I'm 5'10" and 190#. This will be on a RBTR Robic hammock kit...just for additional details that may contribute to an answer.

I laid down in my hammock and got situated then had my wife make a chalk mark where my feet were. I then went a foot in either direction.

That makes sense, but I was wanting to have KM locations prior to sewing.

If no one else has a solution/formula before I get home, I'll measure mine. I'm 5'9" so it should work for you as well.

I would put it by where your feet are. Creates a wee footbox as well as tightning the side slack.

I start mine about a foot from the middle and run it 30". That seems to make a nice footbox for me.

I just finished mine in the same fabric (Vader Blue). I am about the same size as you and mine ended up 24" from the foot end and 28" from the head end. I measured these from the last seam in a 2" channel. The stretchy sides are 28" long.

So...did you start them 24" from the foot channel & 28" from the head xhannel? And you put them on all 4 corners?
