Great suggestions... I also don't want to run into the issue of packing more gear instead of less to solve a calf ridge issue.
I'll definitely have to play around with some of those!

Yea a number of us carry the pad for insulation under our feet as we don't have full length UQs.. so it isn't extra for us but I get what you are saying.
For what it is worth I went thru the same thing with the Ridgerunner... it worked for everybody but me... I gave it a shot foe awhile but eventually returned it for a refund.
I have a full length UQ. Didn't think too much about that when I initially purchased mine. I think I just like the simplicity of my current set up. I may just look into a 11footer vs my current ENO and call it good.
Does anyone have experience with the warbonnet traveler?
And what about Dutch's 11 ft netless hammock?
I bought Dutches 11' for a friend and rally liked it. Very comfortable and a bargain.

I have purchased 5 so far.
PolyD was too hard. I gave it away as a gift.
I have Argon and Nylon which are both very comfy. I like the slight stretch. I think the stretch attenuates any calf-ridge you might experience.
I have a Hexon 2.4 that I bought because I liked Poppy Red. It is comparably firm to the ENO and will support 400 lbs. It is the one I'll leave hanging when the kids want something to play in.
I have bought a Hexon 1.6 as a gift and whimpered just a bit as it left.
All are the 11' versions.
My first hammocks were ENO Doublenests. I camped nearly 50 nights in my ENO before I bought something more comfortable. Looking back, the ENO is not suitable for overnight use. I kick myself for waiting so long to upgrade.
I also have 2 WBBB a 1.1 DL and 1.7 single layer. I feel the 1.1 has a wee bit more "give" to the fabric. What weight is your BlackBird?

I have the 1.1 DL - again, very well crafted hammock! Might just be a little more fiddling that I prefer to fond the sweet spot.
As far as my ENO Doublenest, it is easy to find the set spot and get comfortable.
I'm definitely considering returning the WBBB in exchange for the 11 foot Dutch hammock.
Had bad calf ridge in my BB till I flipped on my side....when I did I used the calf ridge in my favor, laid my knees and calves on the ridge and dangled my feet in the box. I also folded a camp towel under my knees and calves because that ridge is pretty hard, which is good because it provides nice support. Give it a try.
I continue to have the calf ridge issue too. Just added an adjustable ridge line to fiddle. I will report back if I can fix it. I have an XLC though.
