    Waiting on the Warbonnet Blackbirds

    Waiting is tough...

I ordered a Blackbird for myself (with a cloudburst tarp) and a Blackbird XLC for my husband (with a mamajamba tarp) a week ago. These will be our first hammocks. I can't wait to receive them. I can't wait to get out and hang. I can't wait for the semester to be over. I have a busy week of work, finals, and projects ahead so I should just keep my head down and get my work done. I keep thinking about hammocks, flipping through the Ultimate Hang, browsing through places to camp, and reading posts on the forum.

Good thing is shipping from Warbonnet is notoriously quick. Igot my mj tarp in like 3days i think. Enjoy the new gear once it gets there.

Good choices. You will love this gear and the wait will be worth it in the end. Study hard and get outside as soon as you can.

Every piece of Warbonnet kit I have has been worth whatever the wait period was. If it makes you feel better I once waited for 2 months for a Claytor hammock.

I also have a Blackbird XLC lefty in the cue. When I corresponded w/ Team Warbonnet last week they said they were waiting on a shipment of the 1.1 fabric, which was expected to arrive early this week.

Its a good idea to watch the setup videos on the Warbonnet site, they will save you lots of time on the learning curve. That's one way to scratch the itch a little before you can actually get down to business w/ your new hammocks. And it really helps you to get to your happy place fast once the tree huggers do go up.

Hope y'all enjoy your Warbonnet kits as much as our family loves ours.

Thank you all! I won't lie. I'm a little jealous to hear about napping in the hammock just how much you're enjoying your setups.

I've been watching the videos and getting the fix in when I can. I'm a bit indecisive so I had "decided" on WBBB and the XLC some time ago but waited to order in case I changed my mind. If money were no object it would've been an easy decision. I know we're getting great gear worth every penny and whatever the wait!
