depending on when you're arriving, I don't live far from garrison and would be happy to help out and drop off a canister. PM me and maybe we can work out some details.

Thanks guys. I'll keep your info handy. Looking more like I won't get to travel until last week of May. Will let you know exact dates once they are set. I already know the Metro North train I take will arrive Garrison around 2:00pm or thereabouts if that helps.
    Thanks again

    Hey Pete,

Took me a while to figure out we did the transaction on hammock last week. Kept wondering where I had seen your name before. Thanks for the offer of help. Have you had a chance to hang yet?

Setup in the yard twice already. So far so good. Unfortunately two little critters think they are expert hangers.

might sound crazy but Walmart sells the canister gas and I think there are 2 within 10 miles of Fort Montgomery NY might be a idea if you order site to store and pick up at one of those locations.

Thanks. Looked at that previously. Takes a taxi ride going and coming. Probably going to stick with the REI option in NYC or store in Cold Spring if I can wrangle a shuttle from them>

Plans are a little up in the air due to a family doc visit scheduled for May 23. Might mean I don't get to Bear Mtn until May 27/28 timeframe. Heading north to Gorham, NH if all goes well. Have to stop for birth of grandchild in early August, but might be able to re-start and finish to Katahdin by mid-Sept.

I might be in that area around that time frame. My plan is to make it to around the Mass. border by June 2 to fly home on the 3rd.

I think you might pass me at the rate you are traveling, or you may already be ahead of me. Should be in Kent CT around Jun 2/3 unless I get an earlier start.
