This is going to be a great hang. So, if you want to spend a weekend in a hammock and in the lake kicking back enjoying life, come join us. I have found a steak and seafood place within 5 miles and we can eat there Saturday night. I will be there early Friday morning, so come early if you want.
I have a friend who can rent kayaks also, so keep that in mind. I also plan to bring some floats and noodles. I am looking forward to a break and see all my buddies again. I also can't wait to meet all the new folks and welcome them to a wonderful hang. See you there.

Sorry I haven't post much, I am swamped at work with this Ranger job. It is a group area separate from the main campground. There is a gate and please everyone close the gate behind you when you come in so we can keep the public out. We don't mind visitors, just want to keep it secure when we are all out on the water.
It is a great place and you will all have an awesome time. I will be bringing some extra floats so we can enjoy the water. Please bring PFD's for the kids. We want to all have a good time and keep everyone safe.

I was wondering if "outsiders" are allowed to visit the hang. I have been bitten by the hammock bug and would like to see other people's set up. I am in Atlanta and this is the first hang I have seen that is fairly close to me. Thank you so much for putting up with a newbie

Awesome. Thank you. I have all sorts of gear, I have been reading on the forum a lot, even made my own hammock with integrated bugnet. Then promptly poked a hole in it. So I am about to start making my second one. Everything I have learned has been on the Internet so I am thinking maybe I should see how other people do things just to make sure my interpretation isn't going to drop me on my butt. I am really not sure if I can actually stay yet but I would love to just come be a hammock stalker for at least Saturday. Again thank you for responding
