That's right! It would be really cool to stand underneath that while it's pouring out.
I tested my tarp the first night I ever spent at a group hang. I love my SuperFly. And I do have a great rain jacket, so I guess this would be the perfect opportunity to bundle up in sweats like I've wanted to do all week.
Ewok: Mischievous but cute, and deep down just really likes to help people.

Hey Alison--Don't worry about the rain, it's fun to hang out under a big old tarp and chat and sip nice yummy hot mulled cider or tea. It's only supposed to rain in the am on Saturday. Lots and lots of good hiking trails there and I know them all. Besides if you have a super fly you will be super dry! I am looking forward to seeing you, since I unfortunately had to miss Alexandrialand.
john, you also would know the way to the trail head on greylock. i think there was a trail i took up there, cheshire trail or something like that, years ago. it was gorgeous
Cheshire Harbor Trail. Hike #8 in the attached document. The Greylock Glen is also in the same area. I can give you easy directions to get there in about 50 minutes.
If I do a hike I'll be looking for something closer to DAR that I haven't done but if you don't mind the drive the Harbor trail is a great hike. For me that would be driving back home on my weekend campout and I've been all over that mountain for training with SAR this summer.

===> Well, I will be out for this hang. I got sick once I returned from the Pumpkin Hang - between my Diabetes and my cancers my immune system isn't the strongest to begin with. Waited to make the call, but I'm gonna bail on this one.
Hope you all have a great hang!!

I hope you feel better soon. You will be missed!!
