    Dutch 11' regular or wide?

Looking at ordering a Dutch 11' netless. Planning to use it around the yard, lounging as well as camping. Will probably have times when the wife and kids want to hang together (not overnight or for sleeping, just hanging). Comfort, especially for sleeping when camping, is priority so I'll take the extra few ounces of weight penalty if it's more comfortable. What's your opinion on the regular vs the wide? I'm 6'0" 195 lbs for reference.

    Thanks!
    J

I have both, but I'm short so the wide is not a big deal for me. For your use and height I'd say the wide if you can't go for both.

    Another vote for wide.

If comfort is priority then get the wide.

Doesn't sound like you, personally, need the wide. However, if you're planning on the wife and kids piling into the hammock, you should make sure to get one that will hold their weight. I think the Hexon 2.4 holds 400 lbs. and I'm not sure about the Dobby.

I recall dobby rated at 350. 2.4 would hold the whole family...plus a neighbor or two.

    Dutch 11' regular or wide?

Been sleeping in my new 2.4 Hexon single layer 11' regular width every night for the past two weeks. Very comfortable, I see no need for the wide myself but I would have gotten the knotty mod. My night owls have the knotty mod and I like them more than I realized. The 2.4 is awesome by the way.

My solution of course will be to simply buy another with the knotty mods and keep my current one in my day bag for emergency resting situations. :-)

    For ref...5'10" 185 pounds.

I recently got a 1.6 wide and find it to be noticeably more comfortable than my regular 11' 1.6 Hexon. I'm 5'10'' 180lbs.
