    PA > ANF > A100 Hiking Challegen -- June 10-12 -- Who signed up?

Who all signed up for the A100 challenge?

I signed up for the 25 mile portion.

Let this be the discussion thread for anyone who wants to coordinate or what not.

I went to the NCT website but can't find a good map of this section for the event alone. Do you have a better link?

    I'd point you here: http://www.cnyhiking.com/NCT-Alleghe...onalForest.htm

This year they're starting at the southern terminus and going north.

Thanks I didn't sign up but have been considering this for a week long vacation trip. Just need to work out a shuttle and wasn't sure what the route was.

Nice! Did you start planning out your route yet?

My plan, depending if someone is hiking with me or not, the first night, is to hike as far as I can until it starts getting dark. Hopefully that will put me at least 6-8 miles in

Going to try for 25 Friday night 25 Saturday and 25 Sunday.

ETA we are leaving a "bail out" car at the 50 mile marker.

Atlas, not to hijack, but if you don't mind, I would be interested in everyone's gear choices given a hike of this nature..

Its not a difficult trail to follow. With a good headlamp you will be fine night hiking some. Just don't go real far without seeing blazes. We are doing trail magic near Kelletville on the dirt road walk section. You can't miss us. Get good water, dispose of any trash, have an ice cold bottled water, Gatorade, snickers, bananas, ect. See you out there! Peace, Two Tents and ben
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.
