    Success!

I had made my nephew an HH inspired hammock for his [April] birthday (in the gallery). He was in town recently and I finally got to show it to him and let him try it out. He was really excited and happy with it. I'm doing some finishing touches on it (tie-outs, etc), and will take it to him when we visit them in July. We've already planned a backyard campout when I get there. I'm working on his dad's Speer-type hammock now.

Just doing my best to create more hammock hangers out there!

that's cool. Both for the new hangers and your DIY work.

That's great. I bet it means a lot more to your nephew to know that you actually made the hammock for him.

    That's right! I remember....

I'll let you know about the pink 1.9. I've found some hot pink, but I'm looking for some softer pink.

I just don't think I could stand to sew hot pink ripstop for as long as it would take...

Yes, the Berry would most likely go over fairly well with nieces and daughters...

    Thanks!

The funny part about this. When looking for sites I found the second one and it is about 65 miles from where I live. I've been looking for silnylon at Wally world and everytime I ask the sales people they give me a blank stare and ask what it is.

So now I have a relatively local place to get some when needed.
