    Heres one I did when I thought it might be an interesting option... But its adjustable. I wonder if I locked it and sucked one of the tails in if it would hold...

    I locked it with a brummel and pulled both tails in. Any length could probably be achieved... And it does feel strong...

    The loop idea came up in the Molly Mac Pack subforum. Hogn8r tried it out, or something similar, but concluded that using cord was "too fussy in the cold" -- see lesson learned #3 at the bottom of this post.
