Hi,
I am wondering how you folks store your hammocks when you are not using them for longer periods of time?
My hammocks are in bishop bags and I am not sure it is a good idea to keep them in there for months at a time.

I keep learning and will never know enough.
Perfectly fine to keep them in the stuff sack for storage. So long as they stay dry, bug free and out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time there really is no wrong way to store them. Compressed in the stuff sack is just fine for them.

Can't help but find this somewhat bizarre. If you don't store them in the stuff sacks, how the heck would you store them? Boggles the mind.

I store mine loose - not because I've had a problem, but rather, out of fear that a crease, etc would develop in the fabric. I trust Paul, though.

I keep them in their stuff sacks but, I get them out frequently to make sure they are OK. It is a terrible thing to deny a hammock the opportunity to sling between a couple of trees. Underuse = abuse to a well adjusted hammock.
PS: Martin_1 feel free to forward all your under-used hammocks to me. I'll be happy to get them their exercise for you.

Keep two strung up in the man cave at all times. I sleep in one about 70% of the time and my son sleeps in the other on weekends.
Keep two in their stuff sacks ready for immediate camping deployment.
Keep the last of the bunch in its stuff sack in my EDC bag so it's on hand for emergency resting situations.
