I ripped out the horizontal seams so that there were vertical channels in the Costco throws. I then shook all of the down to one end. I then opened one channel at a time and used a vacuum to suck out the down. If you put a piece of noseeum at the end of the wand, that is as far as the down will go. Then take the wand with the down and insert it into the new quilt and blow the down out of the wand. It would take about three times for each channel of the Costco throw. You can use the vacuum to suck the down that is trying to escape right out of the air also!

Great job. I once made a short down UQ and dealing with the down was a nightmare. Yours turned out so well, though, that it almost inspires me to make my own TQ!
