Hoping I got a deal on down

Anyone recycle a down comforter? Label says 2+ lbs of 800 fill that I got for $10. I'm hoping it's the start of a new underquilt and more down than feathers.

If the label is correct (and why wouldn't it be?) then I would say you got an incredible deal!!

I agree. Over 2lbs of 800fp down for $10.00. Excellent buy! The only way it could be better is if this were pillows instead of a comforter. (easier/neater to harvest the down)

Yes, I suggest a good plan before tackling this harvest. A vaccuum with mesh attachment and a lot of patience might be necessary to get the most of it. However, at this price, even if half is wasted with a rushed/difficult harvest, you still win. DONT DO THIS INDOORS, esp if married. Don't ask.

Good advice - thanks. Maybe I'll try to figure something out with a shop vac and nylons in the garage.
