Howdy,
I was trying to make sure that before cutting the fabric I had a plan (measure twice, cut once). In the process I made a mockup to scale with paper, then I was trying to make sure it made sense so I threw the measurements on sketchup. This is what I came up with so far.
Measured 11 ft. diagonally, cut the extra rectangle, cut it in half and made two triangles to be attached to the rectangle for extra protection and create anchoring point. Since the triangles are made out of "folded rectangles", one could be the storage bag for the tarp and the other one for the continuous ridgeline for the tarp.
Any thought or suggestions?
I bought 4 yards of fabric (54 inches wide) I figure this would be enough for a 10.5 ft. hammock [AIMG]tarp plans.jpg
