Thumbs up Speer Winter Tarp ... Added Pull-Outs

The plan is to give the SWT a winter work-out! I have always used my DIY tarp with doors but curious about the SWT winter performance.

This is a terrific tarp but if they added pull-outs I am sure the price would have to go up. A really good tarp without them.

Added pull-outs because I just like them on my tarps .... more room inside and helps with wind. They are sewn with pieces of silnylon on the inside and out. Sewing in a circle is tedious but worth it.

I set up with a ridgeline running through the inside for the first time. See if that will handle snow loads better. The tarp sheds snow quite well.

The picture of the two stuff sacks is my DIY tarp with doors on left and SWT on right.
Mine weighs 26ounces ..... SWT is now 22 ounces with lines, pull-outs in stuff sack.

Looks good. I'm in the market for a winter tarp myself. Still trying to decide what to get. Blew a bunch of coin on new boots and snowshoes. Might as well spend some more and get a winter tarp and UQ too. Then I can hammock camp all year round like the Shugster.

Looks like a great man-cave! Appreciate all the detailed pictures. Did you seam seal your pullouts?

Mighty fine Shug ... like the snow too! Miss that. Definitely like the tie out idea ... really makes it roomy in there from the photos.
