    Good luck finding quilts.
Fold the quilt in half lengthwise with the shiny side out. Sew the edge together for about 20 inches. Run a perpendicular lock stitch at the 20 inch mark. Now move the seam you just sewed so it's in the middle. Sew the bottom edge together, and turn the whole thing inside out. So simple, it should only take you about 10 minutes!

You can also do the footbox by sewing in from both edges toward the center for several "squares" and then sewing the last few vertically...[sort of a "cross" or vertical X]
It gives extra height for your toes versus the flat end sewn version and gives just a bit more slack to pull up toward your head.

Agreed. I sleep in running shorts/tshirt in the summer, and these quilts are good down to about 55°F for me. Any lower and I start feeling the chill. Definitely worth the small investment in time and money IMO.

I made 4 TQ's using the method in the link. Works quite well. We used them indoors for most of the winter and now use them outside in warm weather. Have 4 more that I'll make modular UQ's for our granddaughters. The last 6 we bought on closeout for $15 each. We ain't complainin'! If/when my wife and I decide to venture out in colder weather we'll get a pair of 20* Ghost Pepper's to compliment our Habanero's.

The Costco throw's are also a decent source of reasonable down. I have made shells out of material purchased from RSBTR and harvested the down from the Costco throws and ended up with some nice 20 to 30 degree quilts.

Thanks! I just told my son that I would make him a set for Christmas so now I am really hoping that the down blankets come back to Costco this year. I was there last week and nothing yet. I am sure it will get posted on here as soon as they show up.

I'm just now making myself a under quilt with n that I picked up last year. Now that they are back I might have to rip apart the second one and double stuff it. Are they just as effective if you just lay 2 on top of each other?
