Need advice for a trip to Danielle Boone National Forest

Trying to plan a trip to the Danielle Boone. Looking to find a place I can hike in and spend a couple of days. The only problem is I want to bring my dog along and won't last long hiking up and down the side of a mountain. Looking for a short hike of a few miles, less then five would be great.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

If your looking for a short in and out type of overnight hike, you can't go wrong on most any section of the Sheltowee Trace that looks interesting to you. I might add if your looking for a 'flat' section look for a hike that stays in the valleys near the creeks. Water gets hard to find this time of year if your not in the valleys. Here is a link to get you started.

If that doesn't work for you, try the Red River Gorge, quite a unique area if you have never been...it will be crowded most any weekend though!
