ViDEO: Drip Line for Hammock Suspension

Hey....all the info in this video has been glommed from this site, Ed Speer's book and getting out and just discovering what works. I like Dutch biners as a water break myself though there are many ways to do it. For sure I did not cover them all.
I've been seeing this come up fairly often of late. Lots of new hammock folk and they need to know how to stop that water from running down the lines.
So I'll offer this bit from a quick over-nighter I just did.
    Whooooooo Buddy and carry forth.

Most excellent advice from a right "pretty" ... ahem ... Gorge Rat!

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

    Good one! Thanks!

FWIW for folks who like to play with their suspensions a descender ring just past the end of the hammock provides a water break as well as hard point to change out the suspension of the day. ;-)
    YMMV

I never thought about using a sock!

I think Derek Hansen did a video that was a sort-of scientific study of what drip line technique was most effective. Dutch biners and biners, in general seemed to work fine, but became less effective if it was tilted towards a horizontal position. The simple string was most effective, however it will add grams to your load.

Another great video, Shug. Nice addition to the Encyclopedia Shugemery-attica.
