My 3-Person Hammock Stand (ultimate hang)

I made this today to force the mister to try his hammock. I just want him to be excited, too! Haha. We are taking the family camping later this week and wanted to test the hammocks outdoors but our backyard trees that would hold us are 60 yards apart. IMG_20160627_205121-01.jpg

Edit: Also made him a pretty, blue bug net out of sheer curtains we found when we moved in.

I'll bet that was fun setting up- you are a handy girl. Good looking hang- but keep an eye on the uprights as you are hanging on an oblique angle on the 2x6. strength?

It is actually 2x4s, some rebar and a bunch of rope. Pretty cool design. Since I'm just learning knots and this was a ton of truckers hitches, we shall see how it holds up.

I put one of these together for my Scout troop. It took a lot of fiddling to get it dialed in. It was a lot of fun until they managed to break one of the yellow tendons. Now I'm shopping for some heavier rope!
