    Model Comparison

After being away from this site for so long i feel like a newbie hammocker again!!

So many new ways to hang. Gotta love it.

That brings me to my question...

Looking at your website Randy, i see some of the old favorites still there and with a couple of new ones (to me) added.
Looking at the description and specs i couldn't see what the difference was between the Thunderbird and the Sparrow.

Is there a side by side specs/ comparison page i'm missing?

Thanks and Keep up the good work!!

    Matt

    Hi Matt,
It has been quite awhile. Here is a little more detailed description of these 2 models.

The ThunderBird has one long separating zipper on each side of the hammock. This allows the net and overcover to be completely removed and left at home depending on the weather. The zipper starts at the foot end and zips up toward the head end, which requires you to reach up to the head end to unzip. Adding a vent to the overcover in the ThunderBird is an add'l cost. This model allows a little more flexibility in adjusting the venting of the overcover by simply unzipping down a little farther.

The Sparrow also has separating zippers on both sides. They start at both ends of the hammock and zip toward the middle. This gives you easy reach of the zippers on either side of the hammock. The net and overcover are removable and reversible, which allows you to position the standard overcover vent at either end. The overcover can also be used on just one side of the hammock when you'd like to block wind coming in under your tarp from the side. Unlike the ThunderBird, the Sparrow has no dedicated head or foot end so you can lay with your head on either end.

In both one the above models, either the net or overcover can be zipped on, but not both at the same time.

Also here's a video showing some of the features of the Sparrow hammock.
