Indoor hangers cleverly disguised as decorations.

My wife won't let me just put two eye bolts into our walls anywhere. I was wondering if anyone out there has found a way to hide your hanging hardware with some kind of decoration. My first dumb thought was two cuckoo clocks with eyebolts inside the door instead of a little bird...
    Maybe someone has something better...

I placed mine next to window where they are hidden behind curtain and inside sliding door closet. Leave door open about 10 inches for swing clearance.

You could install also install a padeye behind a pivoting picture frame (holding a picture of you in your hammock).

have a pretty hammock. Then just clip the hammock to one side when not in use. No shame in my game. lol

In all seriousness, I agree with the curtain thing. also, if your style tends towards the more industrial, it may be easier to integrate.

Too bad they don't make eye screws with big threads but tiny heads - just enough to get some amsteel thru. If they do exist, I haven't seen them.

But even the big ones I used don't bother even a neat freak with OCD like me.

I love me some Cuckoo Clocks so that would be awesome.

You could put a painting of a bull on one side. Make it 3D by gluing some hair on it and a shackle on the nose. This would be for hanging one side.

The other side, you could use a bunch of drywall mud to make another 3D painting of whatever your wife likes and incorporate another shackle or such into it to hang on that side.

Totally eclectic and utilitarian at that. Just paint them to match your furnishings.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

They do, but not as eye-bolts, more like very shallow U-bolts with a base. The name escapes me, though. Held in by two very strong screws.

Besides earlier suggestions, I've also seen them hidden in smoke detector (ceiling) and thermostat (wall) cases.

You may also want to look at the ENO mounts.
They are more of a flange type mount and probably have a higher WAF

Look for a local blacksmith to forge you some customized mounts that look real cool and hold the weight. Blacksmithing has gotten popular again and they can do that type thing easily. I did it for a few years and made some like the heart shaped hook...always a hit with the ladies.

This would be great if you hang a picture with it. It's your indoors- stealth hanging apparatus.
